Core Team Kickoff
The planning process started with a Core Team Kick-off in late October, 2017. The Core Team members were identified and roles and responsibilities were given to each Team member and a communication plan was defined. The Team reviewed the project schedule and solidified future dates for the Lean workshops.
NBBJ led the Core team through some Lean workshop exercises to begin defining the Design Criteria, Guiding Principles and discuss Wastes in processes. Leadership goals were discussed and expectations for the project and for the Vision of your team was aligned to ensure a positive outcome. The participants for both the Leadership Team and the User Groups were also identified during this kick-off.
Core Team Wrap Up
The Core Team regrouped after the Leadership Team Kick-off. The purpose of the meeting was: to capture and revise and changes in schedule; add or edit the Guiding Principles based on the input from Leadership; review and revise the Design Criteria to ensure that the teams we aligned in the design parameters for the next round of meetings.
